Thooimai Mission is the flagship mission of the Government of Tamil Nadu aimed at transforming solid waste management systems across Urban and Rural Local Bodies through scientific, sustainable, and circular economy-based approaches. Clean Tamil Nadu Company Limited (CTCL) serves as the Mission's execution and monitoring agency. The Mission focuses on waste reduction, source segregation, resource recovery, elimination of garbage vulnerable points, behavioural change, digital monitoring, and community participation. Guided by the vision of “Zero Waste to Landfill,” Thooimai Mission seeks to transform waste into resources while fostering cleaner, greener, and more sustainable communities across Tamil Nadu.
